In all our rooftop solar projects, we mount solar panels on elevated superstructure with walkway and ladder . These structures are customized depending on site conditions . The reasons why the structure is elevated and customised for each project are : 1. Solar panels are still ineffecient systems . Added to the instrinsic inefficiency, if there are shadows on the panels , the life and output of the panels both are compromised . 2. Sustained exposure of part of the solar panel or part of the solar array to shadows leads to formation of "Hot spots" on the solar panels. The hot spots drastically reduces the life and effeciency of the panels . Partial shadow on the panels have to be avoided as much as possible . 3. Elevated structure makes the space below usable . 4. Future maintenance of the roof (Like water proof) is easy since roof is accessible without disturbing the solar panels.
