Rainwater harvesting through Recharge wells are one of the most effective ways to recharge the Groundwater. This is a Recharge well that we recently installed at Knights Bridge Apartments located in Brookfields , Bangalore . This  recharge well of 4.5 feet in dia and 23 feet deep along with a silt trap of 3 feet in dia and 09 feet deep recharges about 750000 liters of water annually into the ground. Rainwater run-off from the surface is linked to this recharge well through the storm water drain. Three years back, in the same Apartment we harvested the rooftop rainwater. This was done by capturing the rooftop Rainwater run-off , filtering the same and storing in the sump. This Process harvests about 2500000 liters of water annually from a catchment of 2800 Square Meters .
