This is a project for a orthodox family in Basavanagudi, Bangalore . The family considers the rain water pure and divine and use the Rain water only for Pooja , bathing and and cooking purposes . (In orthodox vernacular paralance it is called " ಮಡಿ ನೀರು" ). Since in no circumstances they want to run out of this "Pure and divine" water , they have built a massive 35, 000 liters tank to store and supply "Rain water" throughout the year. (Of course the design consists of a first rain separator and a sand filter apart from the storage tank itself )
