- The customer wanted to be water secure for the future . They wanted to cut their dependence on piped water supply for gardening . They also wanted to save all the rooftop rainwater
- Project Result:
- 1342,000 Liters of water & 2000 units of electricity saved every year .
- What we did:
- 1. One part of the rooftop rainwater run-off was captured and stored in a rain barrel. The overflow from the rain-barrel was drained into a three stage sand filter. The filtered water was then stored in the sump. The other part of rooftop rainwater run-off was captured and drained into a recharge well 5 feet in diameter and 30 feet deep. However , we struch water at 18 feet and this water is now used for gardening throughout the year .
