An easiest way to use rainwater is to install tanks right below the pipes to capture the Runoff.
This is a big apartment complex in kormangala where diverting water to the sump was not possible because of levelling issues .
So suitable places were identified in the basement to install rain barrels . All in all 5 thanks were installed totalling to 20, 000 liters capacity . The rainwater is collected in these tanks and used for car washing and floor washing .
