All that is required for a good rooftop rainwater harvesting unit are
1. Clean and accessible catchment .
2. Sedimentation tank : This stores the initial few minutes of rain . This water can be used for secondary purposes.
3. Filtration unit : To filter the dust and other sediments .
4. Sampling arrangement : To collect filtered water (To test if required)
5. A storage or a recharge structure .
The below is one of our projects in Bangalore . One hour of heavy rain today morning filled all the tanks with clear and pure water .
