Recharge well is one of the best and economical ways to harvest rainwater. If the Recharge wells are dug up to the depth of the shallow aquifer and recharged consistently, there are very good chances that water will start yielding in the well. If the wells are dug close to the existing Bore-well , the yield of the borewell also goes up. This is one of our old projects where Water from the catchment (Roof) was diverted into the well. In few years, the soil around got saturated and now the recharge well has become a water withdrawal well.
